A video microlecture by Stephanie LeMenager, Radcliffe Institute fellow (2016–2017), Harvard University titled ‘Climate Citizenship and the Humanities’. This short video discusses the role of the Humanities in understanding climate change and dealing with its impacts. It introduces the term ‘planetary citizens’ in an era of unpredictable climate futures. It further discusses issues such as climate justice, ecological scarcity, resource scarcity, globalisation, and inequities.

Students will understand the importance of the Humanities in understanding climate change and its impacts. They will further understand the need to address what it means to be a planetary citizen to be able to deal with unprecedented future climate issues.
